High quality and gorgeous puzzle depicting Danish illustrator Kay Nielsen's work for a publication called "East of the Sun and West of the Moon," a compendium of fifteen fairy tales compiled by two Norwegian folklorists. Nielsen was a key contributor during the "Golden Age of Illustration" in the early 20th century and is also known for his collaborations with Disney, providing the company with sketches for Fantasia and concept paintings for The Little Mermaid.
This 500-piece puzzle was created with a unique printing process that produces richly colored puzzle pieces with a soft, velvety feel and no distracting puzzle glare. Interlocking European-style piece shapes make it possible to sort pieces by shape, not just by color. Puzzle, box and inserts are made from recycled paper and are fully recyclable.
