Durga is 39-years old and lives with her husband, her 17-year old son and 10-year old daughter, as well as her in-laws. She has always believed in being independent and self-reliant, and after enduring much economic hardships upon getting married, she decided to find any job that she could. She has been working as a kindergarten teacher since 2006, but the salary is extremely low. She plans to use her knitting income for her children’s education and needs. She says her children are her dreams. She hopes that they will not have to experience the same sorrows that she has gone through and that one day, when her children are settled, they will be able to care for herself and her husband. She feel happiest when she is working, whether it is paid or just household duties.
