A special collaboration between Mouse in the House and La Petite Alice! Simple and gender neutral, these organic linen basics can go all year round: layer in the fall and winter or wear alone in the warmer months. Carefully and beautifully hand-embroidered with a minimalist leafy branch. Coconut wood buttons on back. Handmade in Lithuania.
La Petite Alice was founded by mother Justina who manages a small team of talented women in Lithuania: Asta, who helps to shape each cloth and transform it from the thoughts to reality, Aleksandra, who sews carefully the items and Alina, who embroiders each item by hand. They use only certified organic linen that is purchased from a local linen factory in Lithuania. Their goal is to buy the leftovers of linen to be a zero-waste business. All embroidery pieces are unique even using the same pattern – each one is slightly different from the other, but yet all of them are equally cute and beautiful. Most of the embroidery patterns are made by a Japanese artist friend, Kazuko Aoki. Before the items are embroidered, the clothes are being washed with a non-toxic, non-petroleum based, biodegradable laundry soap.
